SGA Election Results

Current and Incoming Presidents Ben Cloutier and Matt Desilets

Below is a press release regarding the 2013 SGA elections from the current Student Body President Benjamin Cloutier:

Quinnipiac undergraduates made their presence and their opinions known on April 10, 2013 as they chose their class leaders in the university’s Student Government Association (SGA) elections by voting for the second time on the Quinnipiac CollegiateLink system.

With nearly one third of the undergraduate population casting their ballots, the students chose who will be representing them for the 2013-2014 academic year.

Over forty students vied for the thirty one coveted positions on Student Government. Those who lost their respective races were offered the opportunity to become involved in the organization as non voting members.

Student Body President and Chair of the Election Committee, Benjamin Cloutier, commented on the election, “A heartfelt congratulations are due to all of the candidates who competed in this year’s Spring Election. Each of the candidates put forth a tremendous amount of effort towards their respective races, and I’m proud to see so many of my peers excited and enthusiastic about affecting positive change on our campus. I’m confident in this year’s class of SGA members to continue the traditions of hard work and dedication towards the betterment of this community.”

The organization would like to thank all who came out and participated in the election. SGA encourages all students to find what they enjoy being involved in on campus while they are at Quinnipiac University.  For complete coverage check out QUSGA.com, the Quinnipiac Chronicle, QUAD News, or follow us on Twitter @QUSGA.

SGA Welcomes 2 New Members.

Earlier this week, SGA welcomed 2 new members to our family!  The first is Rebecca Carlone, a Freshman on the Freshman Class Cabinet who will also serve on the Public Relations Committee.  The second is Adam Davis, a Sophomore who will serve on the Sophomore Class Cabinet as well as the Public Relations Committee.  The two individuals have worked hard to get these positions and we are more than excited to start working with them throughout this semester.  Congrats to Rebecca and Adam!
